ICG and sports

ICG, as a company that is completely integrated in its social environment, has started promoting sports from the base level to professional levels through sponsoring of nationally known sports events.

As an example, ICG is the official sponsor of the territorial delegation of the Catalan Tennis Federation, sponsoring additionally the Queens Cup and the “Albert Costa” trophy. ICG also sponsors the Transpyrenees Tournament with participants from Spain and France. For cycling, ICG sponsors the International Tour in Lleida for amateur riders and the International Tour for Veterans. For basket, with the quarry of Lleida Básquet and ICG Básquet Alcarrás. And finally ICG participates in soccer with U.E. Lleida.

Sports intrinsically brings us a series of values such as the effort, the discipline, the responsibility, the competitively and “fair play”; values with which the ICG group has been identified since the beginning.

Furthermore, the organization of sports events requires an exhaustive planning and the development of multiple tasks. ICG has taken up the challenge by creating its own tournament in a discipline such as golf, which has an increasing number of followers all over Spain.

With this spirit, the yearly ICG Pro-Am golf tournament was born, a big sports manifestation with the participation of 32 Spanish professionals of a total of 128 players, amongst which are various national and international well-known people. Therefore the event has evolved into an obligatory reference on the calendar of the followers of this sport.
